Timelines is UNIVORE’s ninth studio album, recorded over the course of three years between the members’ home studios in Los Angeles and Ohio. Some tracks began as hummed fragments, others as nylon strings, pulsing synthesizers, or groove-driven rhythms assembled through repetition, experimentation, and occasional signal degradation.
Drifting through fractured memories, shifting realities, and the emotional residue of the last several years, the album blends layered vocals, analog textures, live instrumentation, distorted transmissions, and hypnotic vocal collages that gradually blur the line between voice and instrument. Themes of paranoia, nostalgia, media saturation, personal change, and collective uncertainty echo throughout the record, often balanced against moments of propulsion, repetition, and strange euphoria.
The album presents twelve original tracks with little obligation toward conceptual unity beyond their shared placement on a timeline, one held together by attempted ingenuity and the persistent human tendency to keep documenting the experience anyway.
The result is a hazy, cinematic collection of bass-heavy grooves, fragmented thoughts, distorted voices, and late-night transmissions informed by krautrock, experimental psych, post-rock, and electronic repetition.
